Braeburn

breaburnIntroduced from New Zeeland in recent times where it has been discovered occasionally, the Braeburn apple is gaining a discreet success in Europe and America too.

The fruit is large, oblong, asymmetric, light greenish, streaked or marbled of red tawny or, in some cases, of red shining on at least 40% of the surface.

The pulp is compact, not always hard, juicy, sweet acidulous, little fragrant.

The picking up goes from the end of September to the end of October.
