It is an old cultivated variety coming from Japan where it is still diffused and appreciated. The Fuji apple begun to spread in Europe only in the 80s.
The fruit is of medium-large size, has got a yellow colour with orange streaks or is “washed out” with red nuances.
The pulp is hard, fine, crisp, light fragrant, sweet, little acid, with a pleasant taste; moreover it grows with a slow maturation, after that one of the Granny Smith apple.
The picking up takes place during the second half of October; the apple keeps a long time.
