It is a triploid variety, of American origin, particularly diffused in Belgium, Holland and Germany. In Italy, the original clone has been asserted itself in the Alpine area where the economic results are rather controversial.

The fruit is very large, with elevated gustatory characteristics whereas the peel is not always coloured in a satisfactory way.

The picking up takes place at the end of September-beginning of October and provides at least two detaches.
