Born from the cross process between Williams and Golden Delicious, Cripps Pink has been created at the Station of Researches of Stoneville (Western Australia) in 1973.
It is available on the market only with the name of Pink Lady® that is the trade-mark of the variety. The shape of the fruit goes from oblong to cylindrical and homogenous.
The fruit is bicoloured; the rose-red colour is typical of the variety. The pulp is crisp and juicy. The taste is acidulous and perfumed. It is an apple of medium-large size and with a long maturation process (end of October).
It represents the innovative product of these last years and it will be available on the market during the next seasons in always increasing amounts.
