It is a cultivated variety, the most diffused in Europe.
The tree is equipped with a medium vigour, offers a precocious fructification’s process and an elevated production, constant in the time thanks to the “partenocarpia”. It requires a detailed pruning of renewal, otherwise the size and the quality of the fruit are penalized. There is a good affinity with several types of quinces: however it is always advisable the use of virus-free materials.
The fruit has sometimes got irregular shape because of the “partenocarpia” or the inadequate pollination; is of medium-large size, presents a green peel with evident and rusty pores.
The pulp is cream white, fusing, with a sweet and aromatic taste.
