It was born in 1849 in France.
The tree is strong, vigorous with a slow and inconstant fructification’s process: for this reason it is recommended the graft of quinces equipped with a feeble vigour (Adams, Quince C) at least on fruitful lands so, that it becomes possible to obtain an elevated density of plantation (3-4000 trees for hectare).
The fruit, of large size, it is appreciated for the shape and the elevated quality’s standard of the pulp, but it is very sensitive to the manipulations and the bruises, and so it should be picked with delicacy.
The picking up takes place the first decade of September. |
